if you are sliding forward, tilt your seat back some (basically leveling it out), or move it forward in the seat post.
if you find your bike to be comfortable, then rock it. toss in a new crankset (maybe a budget set like bulletproof or truvativ?), get a stem that fits the larger bars you like, and just ride it till it falls apart! or maybe one day come across a frame you MUST have, and just swap the already decent components you've got to the new frame!
