I did notice my life is changing (actually my friends, not mine) - How you ask?
LOOSING FRIENDS AS THEY DON'T HAVE THE 'MENTAL' STRENGTH TO STAY WITH PROPER EXCERISE.
I really have changed my circle of friends since I got bigger into biking these last few years. My friends I always hunted & spend personal time with has gradually declined. Worse, at times it causes strife and hard feelings, some even go as far as implying I'm somewhat Crazy to do this. As a result, I find that they can't keep up with me, I'm BORED out of mind hearing tales of Woe regarding health and decline in same.
I find myself becoming even more of a loner. BUT- I say this knowing I sure have enjoyed these activities, and will continue to do so.
You all notice similiar situations?

They are crazy not to do it. I started cycling again after a 5-year layoff and regret the time away from the bike. I now ride 20+ times a month, 16-25 miles a ride. I've lost 10 pounds, feel better, and look better. Sold my TV, get me news from NPR and the web, walk 4 miles a day with my dog, and read. Haven't found a riding partner yet, but I enjoy the time on the bike on the quite country roads of southern Wisconsin.
Cheers
