Foot pain - yes, I searched
OK, I have done a search on "foot pain", "foot cramps", etc and didn't quite find what I am looking for. I really have wanted to do more biking, but haven't because of the foot pain I always end up with. And I get this whether I am riding my road bike or riding a stationary bike at the club I workout at.
I get the pain in both feet when biking and it is normally towards the outside of the foot. I do try to move my foot around in my shoes - Specialized BG Elite on the road bike and Nike cross-trainers on the staionary - and it can extend the time until it really hurts. And, then when I stop and stand on it the pain intensifies even more. And going barefoot right after a ride can be about the worst that I feel. Kind of feels like a ton of needles in there.
I have tried moving more foot around, tried cleat adustment, but the fact that it happens irregardless of foot position and shoe seems to indicate another problem. And I can sometimes get the same feeling in my feet when using an eliptical trainer, but not on a treadmill.
Thought I would add this, too, incase it could be tied together, but at times I have sore feet in general - especially if I spend much time walking barefoot. Or go from being on my feet for a good portion of the day and then go barefoot and my feet will be sore.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Time to check out a foot specialist?
