• Driving the SAG car instead of riding. As a ride organizer, I feel naturally protective of the riders. Being on a bike makes me feel powerless since I don't know what's going on at the front or back of the pack. Being in a SAG car gave me peace of mind knowing where everyone was on the route, and that they're all OK.
• Getting help from skilled riders who I know I can count on. I couldn't have done this without Cassave, thomson, Speedee and Herb.
Thanks again Joy for putting the ride together and offering support. I only think I saw you one time since the start of the ride (up at the guard shack) and although I didn't necessarily need the water, I felt a strong appreciation for your support throughout the ride. Thanks to Cassave as well, who despite our calling him Clint, lead us along the lakes and hills like the
Pied Piper.
