I think that this may be my problem. I have been told by my riding buddy that I have to relax my shoulders and my arms when I ride or I'm going to be miserable the following day.

I did have another concern though, the bike that I bought had the stem 1 spacer down from the top of the steerer tube. Should I put it at the top, or would this not make much of a difference?
