Go straight through Valley Center. Lake Wohlford Rd is a loop off of the main road.
What I'll do is get mileage for both ways and maybe get some pictures of both. We can decide later.
I hate Wohlford Road even in a car, but the road through Valley Center has been so torn up with construction it wasn't obvious to me that it would be any safer. It's been a while since I've been out there so things may be different.
