Can you please point me in the direction of " 1 " example. This was merely speculation and Reynolds Carbon wheels actually recommends the Tufo tape. I have use it on my Zipp 404, my Reynolds DV46T and my Ksyrium ES with no problem.

Many cyclist I know have used the tape with no issues. This is mostly a rumor about the tape pulling material off the rim. I believe Zipp states on they're website that they have heard of it but didn't actually see an example of it. The Tufo tape is the only way to go unless you are one that is concerned with .0001% of rolling resistance impeding your max effort. in which case you should take 3 days off to glue a set of sew ups.
