Let's see...the thread began with the topic of what EMERGENCY GEAR we bicyclists carry on rides if we became stranded on the side of the road, injured, lost, thirsty, hungry, cold or things like that.

Then, those who choose to carry a firearm while riding added that to their list.

As if that weren't enough, the thread has suddenly turned into an argument about the need/want to carry firearms and whether it makes any sense to do so.

Here in the United States, I respect people's choices in this matter as I have my own.

Can we continue in the way the thread was without chaos? That would be nice.

Those are my thoughts at this time. I welcome yours.
