Because that is the way this place is structured. I planted posts for the Kenosha Veldrome in both the Fixed/SS and Track sub-forums, only to have the Track submission deleted. Probably b/c it was more effectivley presented in the main sub-forum header.
Anything that morphs into a Advocacy/Political/Religious discussion (or something else) should be moved to the appropriate area. OneTinSloth posted something about being attacked in this forum - and it was moved accordingly. For starters, that thread might have belonged in here, but at a certain point it no longer did. Joe has taken the time to set up the forums in a such manner that people who want to read specific topics can do so. The thread will get better visibility for the people who care about whatever topic is being discussed when properly situated.

My vote: MOVE THIS THREAD OUT OF HERE. I don't crap in your Cheerios, don't spread babbley politics in my fixed gear forum - unless it is humorous or VERY relevant to Fixed Gear/Track/Single Speed (as in a law banning one of these riding styles)
