Hey, JamesV! If you can ramp it up and hold it at 24mph, L Street feels safer than Capitol, even though there's no bike lane. Plus, if you're comfortable with drafting, you can occasionally catch an RT near Sutter's Fort.

My ride in this morning was a nice detour to the American River Bike Trail. Unfortunately, I decided to access the trail at Sac State where there were a zillion cars filling the parking lots and an overzealous trainee traffic cop.
