Hmm, I don't see a spacer there, but I guess it's hard to tell without taking the cassette off, and I don't know what the back of an ultegra cassette looks like either. But there's definitely nothing right next to the spokes, just the hub flange and maybe 2mm of space, then the big sprocket.

I'll take it off and report back tomorrow.
