OMG, you are right. A dollar bill is cheaper than a $3.00 Parks boot. Common sense seems to get less common every day, even when you try hard.
Still, a buck is more expensive than a candy bar wrapper... Hey... use the buck to buy a candy bar, eat the candy bar, and use the wrapper for the boot! There you have it; tire boot and bicycle fuel all for a buck!
Then, if you are the kind of economist our school-only, no-work-experience "masters degree in business" employee is, then you transfer the imaginary $2.00 you saved by not using the Parks boot into the debit column and say that you made a profit and give yourself a bonus. Wheee!
