Well, I speak as someone with a pair of the negative G's. And these are supposed to be significantly better at stopping you than even the '07 zero G's, which are supposed to be a little better than the 06's. The negative G's are decent brakes relative to the Ultegras that they replaced, but it's hard to recommend brakes that are by definition significantly worse in their stopping power.
