I'll check out the park tool website and readjust. It seems like a lot shorter spacing distance from the rear sprocket to the front sprocket compared to my other bikes, I was thinking it might be normal for such a short stretch. It may end up in bike shop if I can't figure it out, but I want to fix myself. I'm thinking I'll try changing out some parts when I get home in a couple weeks. I have a full ultegra cannondale at home I can try swapping dérailleur from.
