I hope they do the same for me, and if they do, they are getting off cheap. One of the guys I ride with has been in two car accidents (the last was a door opening in front of him), and he bought a new 5-series BMW with the proceeds. Me, I don't want to go down that path, just send me the check so I can get back on the road.
I too had an accident with a vehicle which destroyed my frame and wheel. The drivers insurance company paid for a new bike. The old one then became their property.
I went to the auction and bought the wreck for $110. All those spare bits. Yippee.
You may be able to do the same.
