I rode the 200k... unlike CR I was in the group that got stuck behind the tow truck winching the car out of the ditch. It was my 1st brevet, and first time to ride in Marin, so had some trouble finding my way through Fairfax and down to the bridge. Particularly due to some cue sheet errors. Left should have been right onto San Anselmo Ave.... and Clause Dr was 5 miles along SFD not 3.1. I think I am ready for the 300k, as I was quite rested after strolling into the finish.
Nearly wrecked heading out to the lighthouse, as the wind would fluctuate from 0mph , to some much higher number and catch one off guard. Just made me work harder as I had to take it easy on the down hills, and then carefully climb the uphills.
I rode through the flooded waters, and managed to coast it just right down the center of the road so my shoes didn't get wet. I didn't have a map, wasn't with anyone, so decided to give it a shot.
Overall a great ride, and must have seen you at the finish.
