I was about to go for a ride, got about 1m away from driveway and the chain slipped off 1st front chainring(cr). Now it's caught between the 1st cr and the space for the bottom bracket. Is there a way i can get it out without taking the crank off or is that the only option? Mind you, i've spent that last 1/2 hr trying with no success (obviously)

Here are some pics:

As you can see (but not very well), it's resting under a curve of the cr. So whenever i try to get it out from there, it wedges between that curve and the silver ring on the BB.
