I couldn't believe people were riding carbon wheels in that race! The pot wholes were big enough to swallow the bike. I have no idea why they hold the race in that location. There are so much better places in that general location!
I think I'll be running carbons this year, it wasn't as bad as people made it sound and as far as the race location goes I give you 2 answers:
1. Because its harder. We are all masocists at heart and love to suffer
2. Because its VeloPromo. They have made an art form out of finding the worst roads in california and racing on them (Leesville is much worse in my opinion)
