I'm looking for a compact crank that I can switch out for extra long and hilly days. I want to try something cheap to get the feel for a compact crank and if I like it I might upgrade later. Since I'm still riding 9 speed you can probably tell I don't upgrade easily. Anyway, I've been checking eBay, but there's not a ton of stuff for sale this time of year. Is there an online store that might sell what I'm looking for? Does anyone recommend a certain crank that I can do a search for?

Will any of the 10 speed cranks work with 9 speed components?
