I'll recycle my famous Davis Double incident. Last year, I was in the middle of my journey of completing the triple crown. Davis was the second leg of my journey, and I was really excited about doing this ride. I met up with my friends who came up from SoCal for dinner the night before. We were joking and laughing about past experiences, and even one rider, who completely their jersey, jacket ... so it was pretty funny. Well, that is until I got to my hotel room, and realize I didn't have my bike shorts. When I realized this, it was already 9 pm, and too late to get anything from the bike shop. Damn, I'm all the way this far, and I am not going to skip this ride. So I rode the whole 200 miles, 8600 feet climbing with walking shorts.
