I've done it last year and this year. Last year it was extremely cold; well, more like I (and most other riders) was totally unprepared. This year it was good.

The first few miles are actually slight uphill, so try not to push yourself too much to get a respectable "flatland cruising speed" there.

The Stagecoach scenery is ok, but not amazing. The good thing about it is that it's in the middle of nowhere with little traffic. IMO, Solvang and the Grand Tour rides have nicer sceneries.
