All you have to do to prevent people from contacting you after you've sold an item on Craiglist is remove the posting from the site after it's sold. Problem solved.
I take off my contact information, like I said, and replace it with 'SOLD'. Sometimes people will write down your number or print out ads and keep calling even if it's deleted.
