My winter schedule looks like this every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:
  1. Alarm goes off at 4:15 AM, where I rush around, grab a fast and small breakfast, and ride 3 miles to the gym.
  2. Fully suited up and on the spin-bike class bike by 5 AM, I spend the next 2 hours doing a spin-class with 10-20 of the "regulars" that also dig spin class in the winter.
  3. After a fast shower, I ride 2 miles to work. I usually end up at my desk about 7:45 AM.

From mid-April until October, depending on ice and snow conditions, I usually switch to the following schedule:
  1. Wake up at 4 AM, eat, load up the bike with my work clothes, etc.
  2. Try to leave the driveway by 4:40 AM, and ride a 40-60 mile route. I tend to alternate between rolling hills, prairie, and local foothill mountain roads.
  3. Get to work at 7:15-8:00 AM, and take a shower (work on college campus, and showers are available).
  4. Start work by 8:15-8:30 AM, staying late as needed to work a full shift.
