Ive also used the X2 for the past 5 years. I like them a lot but they took a few rides to become comfortable with the entry mode. After 12 years of using Look road pedals, by nature, you grab the pedal with the tip or toe of the cleat - rotate it forward iand click in. One smooth move. The Speedplays want you to sort of feel the correct location and then push you full foot down onto it. I cursed the Speedplays for the first two weeks but just like wearing contact lenses, you get use to the new feels. They rotate very freely. Some one liked it to standing on ice cubes. I have never had one come unclipped by error in motion or pulling up too hard in a sprint. Also, no knee pain either.
