The past two days I've been hearing the standard doom-and-gloom predictions for more snow overnight. Monday I was warned by the weathermen about 3 more inches that were going to hit the east side. Last night the calls for high winds and freezing temperatures gave way to a forecast of black ice all over the Seattle metro area.

Both were wrong. OK, on Tuesday I was glad to still have the studs on my bike because not all of the packed tire tracks had melted down. This morning, I was glad that I aired up the tires to full pressure, because the roads were fine.
Ugh, after only 3 days I'm wishing that the foreboding would either come true and make the effort of the studded tires worthwhile, or just quit so I can put my Conti's back on and roll easier.
