Thanks everyone. To be honest if it wasn't for a great team deal I would not have even considered a Specialized. No particular reason really, I guess I just didn't pay much attension. When the deal came up I was looking hard at the Look 585 ultra.
Anyway, just back from my First Ride. 2.5 hours, 40 miles and 2,000 feet of climbing on our local Mountain. I have never ridden a full carbon bike. The closest thing was my Lemond Carbon steel mix and my bike for the last 8K plus miles has been a Soloist Alluminum. With that said, this bike is every bit as stiff as the Soloist is and soaks up road vibration so much better I can't put it into words.

Some of it could be the zert insert in the seatpost, or the E3 flat carbon bar, but on the bumps I used to really feel, today they were hardly there. It climbs beautifully and accelerates as well if not better than the soloist as well. Today was a rather windy day on the mountain which can make the decent a little touchy especially on the soloist due to the aero tubing. The s-works desends great, no worries from the wind, and was excellent in the corners. Obviously this was my first ride, but so far so good. Let us see what the weeks ahead reveal.
Just wanted to make the point that I love the soloist and don't want to appear to be bashing it. Just pointing out the differences.
