Bar-end shifter cabe routing and DT shifter issue

I ended up getting a set of Campagnolo 10sp bar-end shifters and they came with some long Campagnolo cables...enough to route the cables and housing under the bar tape from the bar-end shifter plug all the way up to the flat portion of the bar by the stem clamp.

Anyone experience any issues with shifting by running such a long, contorted cable housing?

Also, even though I was intending on using the bar-end shifters as downtube shifters, I'm not sure I can do that...I need to get a shifter boss stop for both levers, otherwise the levers will spin 360degrees around.

Any suggestion for that?
