I've got my bar end shifters routed ergo style. Shifts perfectly fine. The only thing is that you may find the rear cable barely long enough in which case a slightly longer cable or a tandem cable may be required.

That's a good looking bike. My LHT has the shifter cables exiting straight from the bar bottoms and making a big loop out front, but the brake cables are done like like yours.
