Good luck with the build! Is yours black, blue, or burgundy? I've got a 1981 Miyata myself, "J" date code. It seems that at least for my particular component group (Shimano 600) Miyata just had barrels of 'em, I've got date codes spanning two or three years on the Shimano stuff.
