Slightly unrelated... but lately I was wondering if part of it probably had to do with his lack of ... anything on his body. Looks like skin and bones above the waist. I would guess that this would harm his sturdyness in extreme situations (like a potential crash), and that it also makes him more succeptable to injury when he does fall.
