A lot of 95kg+ clydesdales are riding on 32 spoke wheels myself included. I use a cyclocross bike with disc brakes and my wheels were built with DTSwiss 2.0 stainless straight guage spokes laced 3x with brass nipples. I've had no problems at all with the wheels. If you're truly looking for bomb proof commuter wheels then check out the clydesdale forum members' bikes - http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=150310

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!
