You'll want to be positioned near the bottom of Balcom. After the race goes by, the thousands of people on the climb fill the road. You wouldn't be able to move when that happens. Plus, there will be a following motor caravan that will delay you as well. Last year I was near the top and it took a good 45-minutes to get over the top and down the backside. It won't take the riders that long to get down off Grimes.
