I've had good success with SKS fenders and I'll be trying out some Planet Bike Cascadia fenders when my LBS gets them in - they've rec'd good reviews.
I put some of these on my Tricross last night. The look nice and are easy to put on, but they fit odd on this particular bike. The OP might have the same issue with his Trek. They mount, but look a little "off".
