$600 for the frame, $900 for the rolfs, $700 for the rival, $450 on bars/stem, seat/seatpost, and pedals. Close enough to $3000 for me after i buy a pair of pro races and tubes for the rolfs and some new bottle cages. not really much else out there for the same money that i thought compared to the build except maybe the pedal force gb but i didn't want to wait.

its simply my preference from personal experience. i test rode a few carbon frames from a planet x tt frame to a 07 tarmac maybe not enough to make a sound judgement but thats why i stay out of carbon vs. aluminum fight. i just didn't like them.
