this is an awesome idea! over the last couple of years i've found myself in the situation where i'm always taking in people i know's old disgarded beaters, fixing them up and then passing them out to other people i know. it's been a rewarding gig, but i've always felt a little depressed at how many folks i see tooling around without even the basic safety gear. hm. at 72 cents apiece i could get a whole lotta lights...
