I got doored once and the doorer fled into her building.
Luckily I didn't care about getting to class so me and the
cabbie camped out with the doorman 'til she came out
again. The minute she walked down I started calling 311 to
report a "hit & run." She ended up paying me cash and I gave
the cabbie & the doorman $20 for their help.

My experience: the less lawyers, judges, and other officials
get involved the less of a headache.
