Here is another one for you. I witnessed a 'dooring' last winter. It was a dark and stormy night. Official records were 53 mm (2") rain that day. His bike 'Was' a 27 speed trek with drop bars.

My thoughts are that there a a time and place for everything and that was not the time or the place.
