These tires seem to be made for different purposes. The quattro tri-comp is billed as an all weather race tire. This means it has soft rubber on the tread for better traction in the wet, and will therefore not be very durable. The krylion carbon is a high mileage training tire. It has a very durable rubber compound on the tread which will last a long time, but does not grip as well.

From your line about a "puncture resistant tire for year round use", it sounds like you are looking for a tough training tire, which would be the michelin.
