So, of course, I went for the "long" option...I get to the office, and my cellphone isn't there. So, instead of leisurely lunch downtown at Pike Market, I pedal furiously back home, and find my cellphone in a jacket pocket. Anyway, beautiful ride...a little wet when I started, now it's warming up. I need to run an errand on my bike a little later, so all in the day will be about 43 miles of riding.
Some pics of a rare, dry winter day in Seattle...
this is the road out of my neighborhood...
along the shore of Lake Washington...
newborn Boeing 737's at the factory in Renton, waiting to be painted...
happy bike...that's Interstate 90 floating bridge in the back; the bikelane is on the left hand side of the road. It's an important part of the Seattle biking infrastructure; the shortest way from the Eastside to downtown Seattle. It's always the coldest part of my commute home from downtown Seattle...this week I went across it 6 times -- 4 dry, 2 in the rain.
