It's going a fixed gear, and I'm only running a front brake. But to address my original post, it looks like I just don't know what I'm talking about. The problem is that the brake I have has a recessed bolt and the holes in my fork aren't big enough for it to fit into. Is there such thing as a long reach dual pivot brake that is not recessed? Or, what is involved in drilling the hole to make a newer brake bolt fit inside? I'd like to avoid doing that if possible.
Drilling the fork is very easy, but there are other work-arounds as well. In this, as in everything, Sheldon Brown had the answers.
