I'm stoked on my new DT Swiss TK 7.1. They're a heavy (540 gms!), bombproof touring and 29er rim, in the same vein as the salsa delgado, mavic a719 and others. I'm going to lace mine to an xt disc hub and discofy my crosscheck.

(edited for typo----Andre the weight of open pros is exactly what i had in mind there, since while rim shopping i spent a lot of time comparing my prospects to an open pro)
