They are ex-messengers but Jen is also one of the top elite women track sprinters in the country so they sell to everybody. They are sponsors of the big and hugely successful sprint series at Alpenrose Velodrome. Do be aware that when track season is going, they close early to head out to the track. If you haven't been into the new store, it's quite amazing and it still doesn't show most of what they have. Excellent prices as well and if they have to ship something to you, shipping charges are very reasonable.

As for attitude, I agree generally about Portland bike shops. However, you also have to remember some of the arrogant idiots that walk in the door and factor that into the feedback. Dean tends not to communicate as much until he gets to know you, but he also does all the wrenching, especially when Jen is racing or training. They're good people with a superb shop.
