Help-Shimano Shifters Hanging Up
Hi,
Have 2 Specialized bikes with Shimano Rapid-Fire(think they're called) and after about 5 years, they started hanging up-wouldn't shift most of the time. The levers move, but not the cables. Upon inspection, I see the little pawls in the shifters are sticking and not grabbing the ratchets. Have tried WD 40 and also elec. cleaner which both work for a short time. Is there a lube that works to keep the pawls free?
