Yeah, rollers are a lot safer than riding in the street. I was trying to counter a post that dismissed rollers as potentially dangerous. It is easy to ride off them, easy to stay on if you pay attention. I found mine left at the curb for trash collectors. They are a little rusty but seem to work. Many can't get enough resistance on rollers, for me it's easy to find a gear that's too hard, so I can have as much resistance as I can handle. Maybe because they are old or because I'm weak, or both. I think they are fun to use, you are really riding a bicycle. I've worked out on exercycle, good exersize but not as fun. I think trainer would also be less enjoyable.
