Kinda depressing.
cranky old dude: I know I've heard horror stories about medications costing out of pocket hundreds of dollars each month, but I've always been confused at how expensive some drugs were and how cheap others are. When I get my Tylenol 3 from the dentist, it costs about $7. My grandma is on some pill that costs $20/each.
If someone has* to take a drug, shouldn't medicare cover it? Or if you get the medication supplement, shouldn't that* cover it? And if they refuse, isn't there an older drug that would work almost as well but not make people go broke?
I'm just really confused by it. If you need it, insurance should cover it, it seems to me....
