If the first repainter beadblasted the chrome to make the paint stick better it would need to be rechromed or painted again. Mine is blasted everywhere there was paint from Pinarello originally. I plan on leaving the chrome rear triangle as is along with the fork.
Taking mine to Cyclart next week I think. They are just a short drive down the road from here.
