I purchased my present two bikes in the spring of 2006. They are Trek Hybreds. One for my wife one for me. I a hybred as my first bike because of two reaons. First I wanted to see if I would actually enjoy riding. Second I did not want to invest a ton of money in something in the event I did not like it.

Well as it turns out I love to bike. I rode after work each day and as much as possible on the weekends. It was a great time loading up the bikes and exploring different bike paths around the state. But now I am ready to ride longer and faster. I equate road biking to skiing. I love to ski, but here in Ohio there is not much to offer in that regard.

So yes my current bike is very obsolete!
