Fulcrum Zeros are supposed to be at the high end range of quality and low weight for an alloy clincher. But like anything else, whether it is true or not, the "numbers" is what sells the products. Bike frames or part weights, horsepower numbers on cars, etc.
The '07 spec Zeros I owned and the others I weighed were all inline with what the manufacturer claims. This '08 set doesn't even come close. In fact, it's closer to Fulcrum 1s which I could have gotten ALOT cheaper.
I'm rather impressed with Mavic considering that my '08 Kysrium SLs are significantly LIGHTER than their advertised claimed weight. As a whole (or at least in my experience), parts usually weigh more than the advertised claims
HELL YEAH!!!! Companies should weigh wheels that they make and post them on their homepage... That'll be really cool to see the normal distribution of every wheel they made!!! Shouldn't be too complicated... Just have a computer controlled weigh machine... Blam, weighed and spec entered straight into the spread sheet.... Awesome.... Too bad they don't do that....
