I recently purchased a Trek 7200FX Hybrid that came with a stock Shimano TX71 48/38/28 crank. I'm assuming the BB is sealed so nothing such as repacking needs to be done. Is this true? Also I went online to find technical information such as schematics or exploded view diagrams, but I must say manufacturers aren't very forthcoming with info? Seems none of the components model numbers match up with any on their websites. For example: I go to the shimano website to find crank info for the TX71, punch it in, and nothing comes up but the c101,c102, nexave? If I go to the Bontrager site and punch in Ahead headset nothing. I'm wondering maybe these are cross-reference numbers or trade names or something? Just seem to be lost in the technical superhighway, so I figured I'd stop and ask for directions.
