I sometimes feel out of place at my LBS but that is because of me. I love my LBS and am always treated with respect and never do they treat me as a lesser person because of my weight. They encourage me and they seem to truly care about where I am in life and where I want to be.

That's the main reason FatCat Bicycles in Lake Worth, FL is my favorite LBS. Other bike shops either ignored me or tried to steer me to what THEY assumed I would want without even taking the time to listen to me!! (Hey - there's nothing wrong with pink flowered beach cruisers with wicker baskets if that's the kind of riding you plan to do, but at least ASK me.
) They have always answered my many questions and don't hesitate to encourage me to ride. They rock.
